Asked for Comment, Cruz Still Has Nothing to Say About Kate Cox

Dallas, TX — The Dallas Morning News reported in today’s paper that, when asked for comment, Ted Cruz still has nothing to say about Kate Cox. It has now been 44 days since Cox was forced to flee her own state to get the emergency abortion care she needed.

Yesterday, the Allred campaign launched its first television ad, which focuses in part on restoring Texas women’s freedom to get the health care they need – including abortion care. Last month, Allred wrote an op-ed in the Dallas Morning News on the real-world impacts of Texas’ draconian abortion laws, championed by extreme Republicans like Ted Cruz.

Ted Cruz is among the most extreme members of the Senate on taking away a woman’s right to choose. He has fought for years to overturn Roe v. Wade, called Dobbs a “massive victory”, and explicitly supports an abortion ban with no exceptions. Additionally, Cruz is the author of the extreme national abortion ban proposal.
