Allred Earns Endorsement of Mayor Sylvester Turner in Race for U.S. Senate

Houston, TX — Today, Congressman Colin Allred announced that he has earned the endorsement of former Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner in the race for U.S. Senate.

“I am honored to receive Mayor Turner’s endorsement in this race,” Allred said. “From solving the city’s pension crisis to improving public safety, Mayor Turner’s tenure had a profound impact on Houston. In the face of several crises, Mayor Turner showed Texans what can be accomplished when elected officials are workhorses, not show horses. In the Senate, I will carry Mayor Turner’s legacy of service with me, and work to ensure Houstonians and Texans have the freedom to chase their dreams.”

In addition to Mayor Turner, Allred has received the endorsement of Houston-area leaders Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher, Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Controller Chris Hollins as well as the Greater Heights Democratic Club.
