Dallas, TX — This weekend, Congressman Colin Allred was proud to join the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 102 for the group’s monthly Chorizo and Menudo Breakfast at El Ranchito in Dallas.
At the breakfast, Allred stressed to members of LULAC 102 his dedication to serving on behalf of Texas’ Latino families – including by working to create more good-paying jobs, making quality health care and education more accessible, and fighting for bipartisan immigration reform that reflects our values and meets the needs of our economy.
With the breakfast falling on the three-year mark since the Jan. 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol, Allred – a former voting rights lawyer – also shared with LULAC 102 his ironclad commitment to protecting and strengthening our democracy in the face of attacks from extremists like Ted Cruz.
Allred is proud to have earned the support of Latino community leaders and elected officials across the state including Rep. Veronica Escobar, State Sen. Cesar Blanco, TX-15 Congressional candidate Michelle Vallejo, Cameron County Clerk Sylvia Garza-Perez, and others.
With Texas’ Hispanic and Latino communities being such a critical part of our state’s cultural fabric, the Allred campaign is proud to be the only Senate campaign in Texas with a comprehensive policy platform on its website in both English and Spanish, meeting Texas’ Spanish-speaking population where they are.
