ICYMI: Allred Tours Kroger with UFCW Members to Discuss Job Creation, Lowering Costs

DALLAS – Today, Congressman Colin Allred visited a Kroger in Dallas to meet with members of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Local 1000 (UFCW) representing grocery store, retail and food processing workers across the state to discuss the importance of lowering costs and creating good jobs for hardworking Texans.

“As the son of a single mom who was a public school teacher, I remember what it was like to go to the grocery store, swipe your debit card and pray for it to go through,” said Allred. “I am deeply committed to doing all I can to lower costs and ensure every Texan has access to the pathways of opportunity to succeed – just like I did. Every day, UFCW workers are on the front lines putting food on our tables, serving and strengthening our communities. I was proud to receive their endorsement, and look forward to working together to find solutions for the hardworking people of our state.”
