Allred Releases Statement Marking the Beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month

Dallas, TX — Today, Congressman Colin Allred released the following statement marking the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month:

“Our state’s Hispanic and Latino communities make up a large and important part of who we are as Texans. From the immigrant families who are new to Texas, to the folks whose lineage goes back to before our state existed, these diverse communities enrich every corner of our state.

“That’s why I am dedicated to supporting them – and ensuring every Texan has the opportunity to chase their version of the American dream.

“As we begin this Hispanic Heritage Month, let’s take a minute to honor the countless contributions Latinos have made to Texas and to our country. Hispanic heritage is Texas heritage – and we should celebrate it every single day.”
